Skyline Hotels & Resorts Appoints Jeff Waters As New General Manager of The King Edward Hotel

TORONTO, July 16, 2012 – Skyline Hotels & Resorts, the hospitality division of Skyline International Development, today announced the appointment of Jeff Waters as General Manager of The King Edward Hotel. The appointment follows an announcement earlier this year that Skyline Hotels & Resorts will assume management of the iconic 109-year-old hotel on July 17.

Waters brings with him more than 25 years’ experience in hospitality management with Marriott, Delta, Renaissance and Four Seasons Hotels, having most recently served as General Manager of the Delta Toronto Airport West.

“Jeff’s extensive experience transitioning brands and his passion for the service industry makes him an ideal candidate to lead our team to continued success at The King Edward Hotel,” says Kevin Toth, President and COO of Skyline Hotels & Resorts. “We’re excited to welcome Jeff to the Skyline team at this important time in The King Edward Hotel’s history.”

Waters holds a degree in Hospitality Administration from Centennial College and is a Fourth Level Certified General Accountant. His enthusiasm for hospitality is reflected in his involvement with the industry and community – Waters is both a director of the Greater Toronto Hotel Association and a Regional Sales Advisor for Tourism Toronto.

The King Edward Hotel is currently undergoing a renovation and restoration of all accommodations and public spaces, including the penthouse level Crystal Ballroom, abandoned since the 1950s. The Crystal Ballroom is expected to be fully restored in time for New Year’s Eve 2012 celebrations.
